Cask at House of Hop, Darlington. Deep red-brown colour, biege foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of chocolate, roasty malt, coffee. Taste is malty, roasty, chocolate & coffee, with dried fruits and tangy nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry light roasty fruity finish. Quite drinkable

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, low carbonation. Smooth malts, touches of dark chocolate and licorice. Vague esters. More licorice and spice. Tasty but some condition would have a lot.

Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Deep amber-brown in colour. Has plenty of sweetened dark malts in both aroma and taste with lots of sugars evident giving it marzipan notes.
