On tap at Stateside Craft, pours a murky amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, dry toffee, and bready malts. Flavour is well-balanced, with toasted bready malts, nuts and even a little cocoa, with some faint clove-like spice and a touch of banana in back. Very cohesive and well-constructed beer. Good stuff.

Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver
Cloudy dark amber color with creamy beige head. The Dunkel character is very moderate, the Weizen character is medium, and it’s a different take at the style, with some sweet apple flavor and aroma alongside the banana, and very light peach; low bitterness.
Not bad.

Muddy light amber-brown, banana and spice aroma, touch of bready malt. Sweet up front, but I’m catching some phenols late that I’m not liking - that burning rubber sort of thing. It’s faint, but yeah annoying,

Deep hazy brown coloured body with a tan tint and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeast characteristic with some banana and wheat with a bit of sugars and toffee and very little else. Aftertaste shows mostly the malt and yeast characteristics with the sugars and a hint of citrus on the back end. Overall, a decent dunkelweizen at best, and a very mild lager at worst. Not really worth drinking, even if you like the style. I sampled this pint on draught at Gruner in Portland, Oregon today on 13-April-2013 for US$8.
