Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, dandelion syrup and dried fruit. Clear ruby brown color with medium creamy tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet toasted and caramel malt, following is bready, nutty and grassy, mouthfeel is warming, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Solid doppelbock...

Pours clear chestnut brown, topped with medium tan head. Malty nose, warmed sugar and quite some stinky soy sauce. Sweeter malty, some caramel and biscuits. Hints of bitterness, slight warmth of alco. Medium body.

Pours brown from the bottle. The creamy head lingers. Aroma is toffee, strong and very, very sweet. Taste stays the same, sweet, full of toffee with a bit of milk chocolate. Finishes much the same, but with a hint of prune. Body is medium, sticky. The ABV stays perfectly hidden. Overall a bit too sweet at first—but then it grew on me. A nice one.

Kalea advent calendar, day 5 on day 6. Sweet yeasty and sugary aroma - smells like confectionery but not chocolate. Chestnut. The beige head starts off impressively but fades very quickly. Sweet and sour with a bitter core. Caramel and dark, possible candied Christmas, fruits. But to be fair, it's not overly sweet for my taste. Medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carb. Abrupt finish. I can't complain about this - low key but for me that works as it doesn't become sickly.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average, creamy, fairly lasting, slightly lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, "Dunkelbier", hints of caramel, a touch of toffee. Taste is sweet dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of malt spiciness. Slightly too sweet, a bit onesided and monotonous but quite tasty.
