Bottle 330ml. [ As Pracownia Piwa Franca ].Clear dark dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, wood, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, woody hops, roasted, grapefruit, pine, dark malt, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of Marcin. Pours cloudy almost black color with medium frothy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, pine, roasted malt, chocolate and coffee.Taste starts refreshing citric and bready, follows by chocolate and roasted malt with spicy mouthfeel and heavy bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit too sour for my liking by this style...

Bottled, from Czarodziejka Gorzałka, Warsaw. Dark brown, creamy beige head. Licorice and white pepper, some citrus up front. Dry with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Bready licorice, some pear and citrus. Very bitter finish.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wroclaw). Czarna barwa z rubinowymi refleksami. Bezowa piana, drobna, obfita i trwala ale piwo bylo lane z pompy. W aromacie delikatna kawa, subtelne cytrusy. Goryczka zywiczna z akcentami palonymi na dosc wysokim poziomie z lekko slodkawym posmakiem. Calkiem pijalne, umiarkowanie wytrawne, gladkie.

Draught. Black colour, brown frothy head. Aroma is intensive tropical citrus and tropical fruit. Not much roastiness - just a bit of dark chocolate. Light bitterness. Drinkable and good, but it’s not in my favourites. Previous rating from August 12, 2015: Draught. Black colour, brown frothy head. Aroma is intensive dark malts, coffee, resin, a bit of nuts. Medium bitterness, not too aggressive. I like that hops don’t dominate the beer and malty character is not hidden. Great beer. 6/4/6/3/17=3.6

Piana ładnie oblepia szklanke. W zapachu nuty czekoladowe oraz lekko wędzone. W smaku wyraźnie wyczuwalne amerykańskie chmiele, goryczka długo zalegająca w ustach. Piwo bardzo fajne jednak do wybitnego trochę brakuje.

Draft sample @ Warszawski Festiwal Piwa 2015. Brune foncée, col crémeux blanc-cassé voire café au lait. Arôme est houblonné, agrumes avec une belle balance malt grillé et caramel. Palais est agréablement bien malté et forme la base de cette Black IPA, le tout étant accompagné d’un solide houblonné herbacé, sec et agrumes. Fini est sec, centré sur les grains et en bon complément des houblons.
