Meet Cannonball’s big brother; we used more malt, more hops and more magical conjuring to crank up the flavour of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’. Get your taste buds ready for massive pine and candied orange aromas combined with bitter/sweet grapefruit and mango flavours all complemented by a deeply composed, satisfyingly malty base. Ever wondered what it feels like to be shot out of a cannon? Here’s what it tastes like.

Tap @ Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival, Odense, 2017. Pours Hazy golden with a white head and lacings. Pine and Petroleum. Sweet. Sticky. Hop burps. Old School. Allright! Slightly dusty hops.

500ml can. Hazy orange colour with a one finger off-white head. Aroma: lots of pine backed up with grapefruit, orange, mango. Taste: same as the aroma, really intense flavours of pine and tropical fruits, orange, mango, grapefruit, hint of bready malts, really bitter. Medium body and carbonation, a bit sticky on the lips, some warming from the alcohol. Really intense DIPA coming dangerously close to Cloudwater DIPA territory. Love it.

Hazy, golden beer with a deteriorating white head. Hefty smell of grassy hop. Pine resin, mango, bitter orange, malt, hop. The taste has loads going on and it’s all tremendous. Bitter, dry, tropical aftertaste. Rich for an IPA too. Excellent beer.

Can. Nose is marmalade, tropical fruit, lychee, slight pine and dank, over ripe mango. Taste is pine, light resin, tropical fruit, marmalade, lychee, mango, slight menthol, lime, melon. Good malt body. Rich Mouthfeel. Outstanding dipa which has a nice bite to avoid being just fruit juice.

500ml can @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, 4 days old. Pours murky orange, fresh hoppy, piney aroma. Taste similarly fresh and exotic with some kiwi fruit, touch murky. Good DIPA. Surprised I didn’t rate the first time.

Lys brun tåkete med mye sedimenter, fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter sydhavsfrukter, fersken og noe honning. Fyldig. Kraftig bitterhet, noe sødme fra sydhavsfrukt kommer gjennom. Wow, det var en bitterbombe gitt. Lang.
