8 February 2019. Black Friday @ Dok, Ghent. Cheers to Anke! Pours clear golden with a lasting, small, unstable, frothy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of hay, straw, yellow apple, unripe pear, yeast, white bread, sourdough, lemon. Taste is medium funky sour, straw & hay lying in the cellar, yeasty touch; light fruity sweet notes of pear, apple, apricot on a bready malty base, supplemented by faint woody & grassy bitter accents. Dryish, tart, yeasty finish, faint grassy hops, lingering unripe fruit & wood (the BA, I presume). Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. A supple Sour, not too tart, and quenching.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malt, Brett, slightly fruity sour. Taste: Nice amount of farmyard Brett funk, pale malt, notes of wood, stone-fruit, floral hints of leaves. Moderate sweet and sour, lightly bitter. Under medium body, below average carbonation. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Great complexity, nicely balanced. No pronounced flavors but very enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Hazy golden with short lived white head. Sour grain, hay, bretty funk, light fruity, canned corn, grassy, bean sprouts, butterhead lettuce, lamb’s lettuce, coleslaw, salad dressing, green vegetal bitter. Light sweet, moderate bitter and under medium sour. Under medium body and soft carbonation. Bit thin but very pleasant drink. 🤓 “I love me some liquid salad and therefor I choose Nevel!” 🥗❣️

Medium, receding off-white head over finely carbonated, slightly hazy orangeish golden beer. Brett, wild yeast nose, lambic-like, lemon, bit dusty. Brett inclucing floormop variety. Very lemony flavour, even if the (lactic) acid shock is brief, mellowing out immediately. Finishes a bit wry-bitterish, herbal/leafy. Long-lasting flavour. Light to medium body. Good carbonation, refreshing. Nice sour. It's the 37.5 cl bottling that itches me - where was it done?
