Don’t be fooled by the name of this one. It is not a complete implosion of hop flavours that leaves your head inside out. This is a fine balance of three distinct hop varieties that are brought together to create a veritable symphony of subtle hoppiness. First Gold, Target & Celeia bring together Lemon and Lime flavours combined with back notes of Cedar and Pine, all in all if you are looking for a clean and refreshing taste with a hint of the Mediterranean about it then look no further.

Cask @ Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. Pours a generally clear gold, white topping. Aroma has light zesty hop. Taste is zesty citrus, pale malt, a touch grassy. Pleasant enough.

Handpull cask at the Marquis Wellington, Leicester. Golden brown, clear with a tight white head and lots of lacing. Dried grass, pear skin, TCP in the uncompromising aroma. Tastes quite astringent among the fruity bittersweet hop notes. Slightly acrid flavours in the aftertaste but there's a pleasant floral flavour buoying it up. Not my cup of tea but nice to find this here.

Cask at the White Lion Inn, Bridgnorth. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, grassy citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry biscuit malt fruity woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

5.7% ABV version at the 24th Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival on 6th Nov 2014. Light amber body with a wispy head. Light malts are drowned out by the hoppiness in the nose but come into their own in the taste which was semi-sweet with a bitter overtone. Easy to drink, alcohol well hidden, good lasting bitter finish.
