Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 8/4/2016. Deep copper in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus hops and brown sugar. Flavour was sweetish, with more fruit, toffee and a surprisingly dryish finish. Good.

Leeds Beer Festival 2016. Clear brown coloured ale. It’s very hoppy with a small fusion of dark malts to give it a gritty edge. There’s a bitterness here too.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras and drunk at home. Hazy red brown beer with a lasting beige head. Hoppy brown ale aroma. Touch of lime on the aroma, touch earthy in the mouth, slightly dirty. Dirty, earthy, brown ale, lots of lime, lots of bitterness on the finish. Quite a tasty beer, but it’s a bit like what a hipster would be if it were a beer. Bit too tart on the finish when a brown ale needs some sweetness. Bit harsh on the hops. You can’t do a session brown ipa. Or can you?
