(Draught at Dynamo Bar, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of fresh black coffee, dark chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with freshly brewed coffee, dark chocolate, rye bread and a dry finish with a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty and well made stout. Very nice.

330ml bottle. Almost black with a one finger tan head. Aroma: coffee and roasted malts, some chocolate, vanilla. Taste: coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, raisin, lactose, the overall sweetness is balanced by the bitter coffee. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent.

200ml draught at Man in the Moon. Pitch black body, tiny layer leaving lacing rings down the glass. Coffee grounds on the nose. Taste of milk chocolate offset by coffee grounds. Prolonged ending. Decent choice instead of coffee after the dinner (Stockholm 26.11.2016).

Appearance is black, with a solid light brown head of around half a finger. Aroma- milk chocolate, caramel, fudge, vanilla traces, milkshake, coffee, lots of dark malts. Taste- chocolate milkshake, milky coffee, bitter toasty malt, dry roast, fluffy mouthfeel, fairly short finish with just a bit of lingering bitterness.

Keg at Six Deg North Abz. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, chocolate, mocha coffee, creamy, liquorice and reisen chocolate chew. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, milk chocolate, creamy, coffee, tangy dark fruit and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent sweet stout.

Keg at Amersham beer shop, Amersham, Bucks. A black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee on the nose. Tastes the same, roasty, malty, some chocolate, bitter coffee with a sour finish. Tasty and rather moreish.
