Hoppen: Strata, Columbus.

Thanks to Benzai! 330 ml. bottle sampled in que for Borefts 2017. Day 1. Amber orange. Nose is caramel & toffee with some pine oil. Taste is weirdly sweet, caramel, toffee & sugar but the finish is rather bitter with pine resin. Body Is caramel, lingering bitter finish. Oddly malty, toffee heavy etc. for a DIPA but nice as a malt forward brew.

Bottle shared in Borefts '17 queue thanks to kermis. Clear light brownish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, very piney, toffee heavily, bitter. Too much leaning towards a barley wine imo. Ok beer but not great as an IIPA.
