Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a clear brown copper colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up roasted malts to caramel malts to a dry malt nuttiness followed by some chocolate malts. The taste delivers similar notes with a pleasing assortment of maltiness. I get roasted to nutty to thin chocolate malts that are working pretty well here. It attains a nice roasted malt to sweet malt balance. Interesting full flavored brown.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 14/03/24. Chestnut brown with a beige cap that thins to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is nutty, toffee, biscuit, grains, herb, brown bread. Taste comprises caramel, dried fruit rinds, biscuit malt, toasted brown sugars, dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy for the style.

Belcher at the roost pours a mostly clear garnet amber with some beige head. Nose is nutty, almond, malt, caramel. Flavor is more malt forward, caramel, bread, sweet tea. Finishes basically dry, reasonably long. Solid for the style.
