Handpull cask at the Lord Nelson, Oakham. Somewhere between chestnut and honey brown. Clear with a small whitish head and noticeable lacing. Nutty caramel malt in the aroma with astringent character. Taste is... right now. Anyone else old enough to remember Bit-O-Honey candy bars? The taste is similar, but with a healthy dose of autumnal hop bitter. Bitterness of the finish woven through with caramel malt sweetness. Ok boys and girls: this is how you do a twiggy brown.
