In der Tradition oberfränkischer Rauchbiere in und um Bamberg zeichnet sich das Hallerndorfer Rauchbier durch animierende Frische und eleganten Einsatz von Rauchmalz aus. Eine harmonische Verbindung von fruchtigen Malznoten, feiner Hopfenbittere und dezenter Rauch- und Röstaromatik regt zum Weitertrinken an. Mehrfach prämiert beim European Beer Star.

Almost clear amber, creamy beige head. Mild Beechwood smoke, a little meaty. Clean crisp light caramel body, mild smoky bitterness. Thinnish. Ok.

Dark amber color. Beechwood and smoked ham in the aroma. Very fruity start (pineapple), followed by a not-too-agressive smokiness. The pineapple plays first violin. Smoke aftertaste, also with pineapple.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 6B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 18:15P (BBF 16.11.18). AROMA: medium smoky aroma with a bacon-like character. mild background maltiness. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium beige head, creamy, with average retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low smokiness (bacon-like), followed by a low and soft maltiness (slightly bread crust). medium-low to low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low to low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a rauchbier that its best before ended in november 2018 but with still good presence.

0.5 l bottle from Grunt Shop, Kvatrić, Zagreb. Shared with the elders. Hazy amber, small to medium off-white head. Smoky phenols, covering the rest. Smoked malts, nice light smoked profile, smoked salmon or cheese. Light body, soft texture, light finish. No complexity. No character, but not bad overaly.

Bottle. Clear coppery darker body, off white head. Some fatty smoked bacon. Clean malt underneath. Bit heavy and not too exciting. Light, dry, but slicky body, helping the drinkability of an otherwise mild rauch, just showing light pancetta. Okay.

Bottle shared at THT July. Clear amber with off white head. Caramel, light smoke, soft grassy, light cardboard, a hint of hazelnuts, old wood. Just medium sweet and bitter. Just medium bodied.
