An artisanal style IPA combining midly bitter hops, garden fresh jalapeno peppers and cilantro. With a moderate malt profile, this culinary concoction offers both an easy drinking IPA & a bowl full of jalapenos without the burn or bittering one might expect. Never would Scoville have imagined such a fitting match for the world’s perfect pepper.

Not much going on here. More vegetable than spice. Touch of spice in the end. Tastes like tomato juice. Pours orange with ok head and lacing.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Clear amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light and semi dry and has a fine crispness. Good sweetish orange marmalade is detectable before the chilli kicks in, burns and dominates. Light finish. Chilli linger. For this kind of beer it’s not bad, but why anyone would want more than a couple of gob fulls is completely beyond me.

Sampled at Black Squirrel’s NKOTB event pours a clear, dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose has quite a bit of jalapeno, green bell pepper too, some light malt. Flavor has a bit more complexity, hits with the jalapeno right off the bat, but some muddled citrus too, lime, some herb. Dry, peppery finish.
