GBBF Day 3. Cask. Clear amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light and semi dry and has a fine crispness. Good sweetish orange marmalade is detectable before the chilli kicks in, burns and dominates. Light finish. Chilli linger. For this kind of beer it’s not bad, but why anyone would want more than a couple of gob fulls is completely beyond me.

Flavour is composed of base malt, bready, veg pepper, veg matter, warming chilli, but quite smooth. Palate is warming chilli, semi sweet low carbonation. OK chilli a but too much veg.

Sampled at Black Squirrel’s NKOTB event pours a clear, dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose has quite a bit of jalapeno, green bell pepper too, some light malt. Flavor has a bit more complexity, hits with the jalapeno right off the bat, but some muddled citrus too, lime, some herb. Dry, peppery finish.
