(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clapham, London, 25 Apr 2015) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of coffee, roasted malt, dark fruit and some prunes. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made porter. Very nice.

Gravity cask from the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Slightly purplish brown, translucent. Wispy off-white head. Smells of grapefruit, grass... not the normal porter flavours. Could this be the infamous CDA in disguise? Taste is bitterly hoppy, only a hint of chocolate. Long bitter/sour finish. This is a new take on an old style.
