Called Benny & Hop, the beer is infused with Benedictine, a liqueur from France that is widely enjoyed across many East Lancashire bars. At 5.8 per cent ABV, the rustic dark ale has a hoppy aroma and a lingering sweetness with Cognac-like background notes.

Gravity cask @ NWAF ’14 Derby. Pours ruby brown. Aroma of sharp luscious fruity hop and chocolate malt. The initial taste is sweet with a slight sarsaparilla sourness. Bitter finish and aftertaste follows. The taste, though intense, continues to excite over the course of the drink.

Cask @ Black Bull Inn, Huncoat. Chestnut-red in colour with a small off-white creamy head. It has winter fruits flavours within a light texture, however it remains strong tasting.
