A dark, sweet mild with a touch of the mysterious for a tasty low-strength malty beer.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 5th May 2025. Deep sepia with yellowish tan foam and full lacing. Rich roasty aroma. Sweet malts paired with bitterness in-mouth, and an intense bitter finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

(Cask at Tapping the Admiral, Kentish Town, London, 9 May 2024) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark bread and herbs. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark bread, a touch of mint, roasted grain and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Light body, dry. Tasty and well balanced mild. Nice one.
