Clear golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of sour grapes, funky yeast, citrus, coriander seed, citric acid and a bit of lactose. Super light-bodied; Strong citrus flavour at first with a pungent funky yeast flavour along with some coriander seed, oranges, lactose, lightly bitter grain flavour and more of the citric acid and mellow sour note near the end. Aftertaste shows the sour flavours up front and centre with some of the lactose and funky yeast flavours as well as the light citrus and lactose sweetness around as well, but this is fairly simple. Overall, an interesting beer that shows similar to a berliner weisse, but is more of a gose, with a definite lactic note throughout. However, for as much as this one cost, I feel like it should have been a bit better and more involved than this. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 26-November-2017 for US$7,73 sampled at home in Washington on 19-April-2017.

Tap industry public house. Fairly clear very light brown. Barely detectable very mild tart aroma. Interesting mild salty gose flavors. Yes, should be styled as a gose. Easy mild fun with good cutting co2. Tasty with a little bit of well done spices in the background. Never in your face, how could a beer with a mild rating of 3.5% ever get in yer face? Well balanced tart salty beer experience that ends with a finishing touch of salty straw. Interesting.

12oz can. I’ll give it Sour Ale, but it comes off very test tube, stainless steel, controlled kind of stuff. Bitingly one dimensionally sour, not unlike the Destihl sours in some ways...maybe a pinch more subdued, but also less depth in the body. The blood orange flavoring is nice, but artificial or puree-ish. A decent enough beverage, nice flavors, just lacks depth.

Can from Gambrinus. Pours a hazy straw with a small bit of foam that dissipates quickly. Tart lemon zest on the nose with some gooseberry and lacto notes. A bit grainy on the palate with some mineral and lemon yogurt notes. Clean finish with a lingering tartness and graininess. I get zero blood orange though.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing cling on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy blood oranges, lemon, lime, grapefruit, berries, guava, green apple, mango, melon, white grape, hay, straw, pepper, wheat, and cracker; with lighter notes of white wine vinegar, salt, funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blood oranges, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy blood oranges, lemon, lime, grapefruit, berries, guava, green apple, mango, melon, white grape, hay, straw, pepper, wheat, and cracker; with lighter notes of white wine vinegar, salt, funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and light yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangy blood orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, berries, guava, green apple, mango, melon, white grape, hay, straw, pepper, wheat, cracker, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blood oranges, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance; and zero astringent/puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/sourness, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/acidic, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.25%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blood oranges, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the balanced acidity. Extremely flavorful and well balanced for the low ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
