Matthew Pale Ale is brewed using local Mendip spring water and unbeatable, English, Maris Otter Malt. The beer is grounded in the versatile English Challenger hop but is given its distinctive floral taste by the American Amarillo hops added at the end of the brewing process. The beer has fresh citrus notes and a clean, dry finish. Tantalizingly fresh!

Straw coloured beer with a creamy head. Mild citrus aroma and the flavour is a gentle blend of citrus fruit and hop with a floral edge. Could do with being a touch stronger in the taste but it’s crisp, refreshing and very drinkable.

Cask @ Wetherspoons, MK. Clear amber/gold, perfect white head. You can smell the Amarillo - citrus, hay, wildflowers. The taste is incredibly sweet at first, carrying the malt character. The bitter finish and aftertaste come as a welcome surprise! This beer is put together extremely well, and at only 3.8% to boot!

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; light amber pour with velvety white head, pleasant floral aroma, decent citrus hop bite with a clean bitter finish, could have a session on this.

Nice aroma and this ale has a dominant bitter texture, but one with a fine taste.
