Bottle ordered from Beer GB/Beer Ambleside. Now Great Corby Fox and 4.7%. Aroma had caramel malts and berries. Clear brown. Thick foamy off-white head. Light-medium bitter with a big sour berry edge. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. It's nice enough but not particularly exciting. May as well be a standard bitter.

26/4/2018. Cask at the Waiting Rooms, Newcastle. Pours dark amber with a small lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, toffee, nut, fruit, hop and a hint of chocolate. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

Bottle from Quality Save, Shipley. Clear reddish-brown with a thin head. Has a mild sweetness with a light berry-fruitiness. It’s more sugary in its nose in this respect.

[ As Cumberland Corby Fox ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, dark malt, berry malt, tobacco notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, caramel, berry malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150812] 5-2-6-3-11 Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Cumberland Corby Fox ].Clear medium brown - orange amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, burnt malt, caramelized malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, sugary malt, brown sugar, dark malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141011] 5-3-5-3-11

Cask @ GBBF 2015. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy finish.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear amber beer, no head. Palate is light, dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy malts, unsweet caramel. Touch of sweet floralness and sweet esters. Little dried fruit and very mild citrus. Light dry finish. Passable.

Cask at GBBF. It pours clear brown with a small beige head. The nose is toasty, caramel, gravy browning, caramel, toasted nuts, dried fruits and some other stuff. The taste is wet wood, damp leaves, earthy, twig, earthy roast, weak coffee, spice and cocoa with a dry finish. Light body, low carbonation and oily carbonation. A bit weak and watery. Meh.

From cask. Pours clear and golden brown with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, light breadish. Bitter, toasted. Dry malty and toasted. Dry and bitter finish.

Bottle from the Cartmel village shop. Appearance - amber brown with a red chink. Nose - honey and hazelnuts. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a sweet tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - somewhere between a bitter and a brown ale. Decent.

500ml Bottle from Beers of Europe: opened at home on 3rd July 2014. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Light mahogany body with an off-white head that started thinly and got thinner. Smooth body feel to this brew, malty molasses front with very little hop bitterness to back it up. I like the sweeter brews, so this suited me fine.
