Panda thanks to Wingman. Almost clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light palate all told, slightly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Crisp dark chocolate malts, rich but light in the mouthfeel. Maple and rich fruity bourbon bringing up the back end. Light but very tasty.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 21/09/24. Black with a thin tan head that dissipates to the edge. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, maple syrup, coffee bean, mollases. Taste comprises chocolate, bourbon rip, booze tunes, roasted notes, maple syrup, spice, dark malts, brown sugar melt. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid well balanced bourbon impy.

Tasting @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media. Al naso note di malti tostati, cioccolato, caffè, sciroppo d'acero. In bocca è abboccata, etilica, con chiusura amara a bilanciere. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Interessante.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle of 2016 vintage. Aroma is roasty with some dark caramel and toffee notes. Some light chocolate with moderate nut notes. Some medium light maple notes with a bit of bourbon and faint oak. Pours black with a reddish dark brown hue on the edges with a medium small tan head that recedes to the edges where a small amount lingers. No lacing and medium legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with medium chocolate notes and roast. Quite a bit of a nuttiness with some toffee and caramel. Medium bourbon notes with some maple and hints of oak. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with lots of lighter malt notes for a stout. Good maple and bourbon notes but it could use more sweetness, mouthfeel and darker malt notes.

Nitro sample at the brewpub, and off the tower at the production facility (rating for the latter). The beer is a dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee in the nose. Medium to full body with a roasty coffee and malt character, and flavors of maple and hops in the background. The finish is mocha and maple syrup. Good beer all around.
