On cask @ the White Cross, Lancaster. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Creamy fawn head. Nose - a touch of creamy lactose, then into carmal, milk chocolate and of course, a massive smack of coffee. Taste - coffee up front this time. Still caramel and creamy chocolate going on too. Like a milky coffee really. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Balanced roast bitterness and creamy tapering on the finish. Overall - nice.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 26 Nov 2016) Black colour with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and very well balanced with a smooth mouthfeel. Very nice.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. An opaque, peaty brown colour with a fast fading caramel coloured head; aroma of milky coffee; sweet vanilla taste to start, followed by a lactic, coffee flavoured body; then a dry finish with coffee grounds and a touch of chocolate. Nicely balanced.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/12/2016. Near black, with a small, beige, head. Coffee beans some vanilla oak, toasty malts and some creamy sweetness before a dryish finish. Very good, Binghams certainly know how to brew stouts.

Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. 05/07/16. A hint of aroma - weak coffee. Dark and deep - would send the painter from the Fast Show off on one. But scored at 3 only due to the weak beige head. Sweet tasting - the macchiato reference is accurate. A bitter undertone, carbonation on the tongue. Surprisingly light in body. I likes, but a tad sweet.
