On keg at Black Bull, Coniston - First of the night and a quencher. Good looking clear yellow body, loads of carbonation lines, and a lasting head. Nose is pretty much as expected, grassy and bit of rice, but taste wise its sweetness helps it along nicely. Not a bad ’un to start with.

On cask at the Black Bull. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles and a thin head. Nose - a big lemon note dominates the maltiness. Taste - The lemon note again and quite a sweet edge to it. A cleansing herby finish though. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent pilsner. Would have another.

Bottle. Mild American Pale Ale style bitter in both its aroma and its flavours. Also seen on cask at the brewpub.

Keg @ the brewpub. Colour. No aroma to speak of. Ok, maybe a vague touch of continental hops. Light continental hop character, mild bitterness and some vaguely boozy malt.
