Bottle from Morrisons, Hatch End. Poured a dark gold with a thin white head. Aroma of honey, grains and melon. Oranges on the initial flavour, mixed with some floral hop and cereal. Slightly metallic palate with a touch of hop resin and something reminiscent of cream soda. Considering it was purchased from a UK supermarket, it seemed fairly exotic. Had I got it anywhere I expect to find good beer, I would have been very disappointed.

Bottle from Morrison’s - Reddish amber body, frothy white top. After that the nose is a little faint, as is the taste. All a bit forgettable.

355ml Bottle: labelled in the UK as Amber Lager for some reason. Poured into a stemmed ’Yuengling’ badged glass at home on 26th Nov 13. Guess what colour it was? Correct, amber: the head being white and lasting. The body clear but not really bright. The aroma was initially malt led, as the beer warmed a little the hops came into their own smell wise: they overcame the slight malty molasses aroma and took over along with mini metallic twang. The taste was a pleasant blend of maltiness and bittering hops, the hops giving a dry and long finish. A bit fizzy for me, but others will say it’s well carbonated no doubt: a malty lager, no more, no less.

Malty, caramel aroma. Flavour has a strong malty taste. The finish has a floral, hoppy dryness.

Bright clear amber - gold beer. Little off white head. Light dry crisp palate. Light lagerish malt. Minerals. Generic fruits and what tastes like both noble and citric hops. Finishes semi dry. All right.

355ml bottle of Point Amber Lager from Morrisons. Golden amber with a loose white head; malty aroma; soft, sugary caramel malt taste; and some stewed hops to finish. Not great.

Bottle from Morrisons. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Average carbonation. Nice lacing. Clean aroma, but not a huge amount going on. Flavour is grain, faint caramel and green hops. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. Not the most complex or interesting beer but it’s well balanced, drinkable hoppier than your average Lager.

Bottle at Sourced Market, St Pancras. Clear orange amber colour thin beige head. Some sweet malt on the aroma. OK sweetish lager. Yep, some toffee. Quite simple and not very complicated, but drinkable enough. Bit empty.
