Bottle split at L6, 31/08/22, thanks to Kenwold. Pitch black with a good sized tan covering that settles to a swirl. Nose is roast malts, pine needle, charr, dried fruit esters, earthy hop presence. Taste comprises toffee, liquorice, herbal notes, pine nip, ashen tones, dark malts. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness balanced with a good roasted bite. Solid high boost CDA.

Bottle shared in London. Cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a minimal, bubbly tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, loads of ash, roast, charred rubber, scorched earth, bitter dark chocolate, grass. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with soft carbonation. Strong bitter finish, more ashy roast, scorched earth. Novel.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to me. Oily looking black brown beer, a few tan bubbles. Palate is semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Dark malts, slightly thin but tres rich. Unsweet dark chocolate. Little earthy dark malts into a mild coffee. Touch of ripe fruits into quite a hop spicy finish, which is really the only time the hops manifest. Curious Impy CDA, has a lot in common with an Impy Stout.

Bottle from Thirst Class Ale. Impenetrably black body with a short-lived tan head. No visible carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of liquorice, soy sauce and blueberry. Flavour of tangy espresso, cocoa and roasted malt. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and nicely hopped. Torrside always brew bold and interesting beers.
