Influenced by traditional ‘rustic’ village lagers of Bavaria “Now We Are Two is brewed ‘Ungespundet’ or un-bunged so that most of the CO2 produced in fermentation is allowed to escape from the vessel resulting in much lower levels of carbonation. A double decoction mash using new less modified UK lager malt from Warminster adds to the malt complexity in the beer. In true rustic style the beer has a decent haze and a good dose of EKG has given it both great balance and some additional background hop interest. Pour vigorously and drink lovingly.

Can at home, 10th July 2021. Pours clear and golden. Aroma has grass, dough, yeast. Taste is clean, bitter, grass and aromatic, it’s authentic to the style and easy to drink. I like these guys

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Highly drinkable, moderately sweet, fresh doughy biscuits, a little cereal, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Rounded finish, more bready biscuits. Nice one.

Lol at the pic nicked off my mate’s check in on UT! Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Soft haze on a pale gold. Thin, dense, lasting, bright white head. Nose has sour grain. Nettle leaf. Grass mulch. Taste is sweet and sour, with a distinct grassy, leafy, peppery bitterness. Medium body drinks easy. Soft, natural feeling carbonation. Leafy bitterness to finish.
