Pours a clear light golden colour with a decent lasting near white head. A light apricot jam and white toast aroma. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malt and apricot flavours, some citrus peel bitterness and more sweetness in the finish.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A pale amber pour with a loose white head; muted apricot aroma; dry in the mouth with an apricot kernel taste; and a rataher bready finish. Rather on the dry side.

Cask at the West Quay (JDW), Brighton Marina, 19/08/17. Clear golden with a decent white head. Nose is light citric peel, toasted bread, grains, light apricot jam. Taste comprises a stronger apricot flavour than the nose suggested, straw, light citric peel, bready tones, light biscuit crum. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff ... geys the apricot message across some. Would have added this as a fruit beer I reckon.

Can at the Babington Arms, Derby. Mid- to dark gold, with little obvious carbonation or head. There certainly is a gentle scent of apricot but not much else. Taste is pleasantly bittersweet and fruity. Simple apricot sweet/sour finish. Not a lot going on but what there is, I like.

Can courtesy of at Helen and Geraint (thanks you two!) consumed at home Sunday 20th December 2015 Apricot and cleaning fluid mingle on the nose (weird combo’) if it were just the former it would have been great, sadly it has a strange chemical taint. Colour is mid amber with a white head. It’s ok, there is a clear apricot flavour trying to assert itself but the same chemical flavour that upset the aroma also ruins the flavour, I have had a lot worse, but this is a drain pour I’m afraid.
