Cask at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Good roast in the nose, with secondary notes of chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with burnt malts, baking cocoa, scorched earth bitterness, some sugary chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Rich and roasty on the finish, with more strong chocolate character, earthy bitterness. Good stuff.

Location: 12 oz can from Nikki's Liquors, 7/31/15
Aroma: The nose is chocolate, caramel, some light roasted coffee, and a hint of dark fruit
Appearance: Its dark brown in color with a frothy, fizzy brown head, and streaky lace
Flavor: The taste gets a little more chocolaty and roasty, with the rest of the components fading to the background. Not a ton of sweetness, with more of an unsweet coffee / dark chocolate type of bitterness.
Palate: Light-medium bodied for the style, average-plus carbonation, and a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression:
