This Double IPA is a token of a friendship on the shores of the Baltic sea. Kolk and Maku set out to develop their common vision of the style and came with Ilta which is the exact opposite of Hommik. Enriched with Munich and Caramalt this IPA is as sweet as it is bitter. Balanced to the max. Enjoy!

(Keg at Ravintola Fat Lizard, 20191022) The beer poured amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, sweetness, strawberries(!) and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tangerine, marmalade, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, hoppy and bitter. A decent hoppy brew with sweetness and weird strawberry notes.

On tap at Bruuveri in a 4 beer taster. Hint of haze on orangey amber, lasting head. Citrus and tropical aroma, pretty sweet on the tongue, with a lot of (I would guess West Coast?) hops going on in there. I really like this, not as massively bitter as most DIPA but maybe better should be Imperial IPA. With the strong flavors and sweetness you're not going to want more than one at a time, but that's one tasty beer.
