Cask pint in Willy’s on 21st Jan 2017, just before Grimsby Town swept aside Notts County 2-0. Light golden pour, full white head, so full in fact I had to wait while the beer settled before the barmaid re-filled the glass twice. Citrus leanings throughout: not a fan of single hopped beers usually, but this was fine.

Cask at the Empress, Cambridge. Not gold so much as orange-yellow. A bit of loose noncommittal white head floating on top. Smells like lemon, fabric softener, a bit of hay. Luscious fruity taste, sweet with a sour tinge. Lemon drops everywhere. Unfortunately the finish is a bit unbalanced with buttery acrid notes. Slightly below average.
