Crisp & lively, the hazy smoothness of this unfiltered White Ale is roused by the crackling of spring spices. From a hint of sweetness from orange peel & plum to the peppery bite of fresh ground coriander, the subtle blend of spices creates just the right refreshing kick to signal that spring is on its way. Cheers!

12oz bottle picked up at the state store
Pours hazy orange/golden with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is wheat and oranges. Flavors of wheat, grainy, doughy with a bitter spice finish
OK, might be better on a hot day which is not today.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with a foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish and bready with faint floral hops, citrus and perfume. The flavor was sweet bread, cracker and pepper with notes of lemon, orange, a bit of perfume and a bit of bubblegum. Long sweet bread, pepper, lemon and orange finish. Medium body. Solid.

22 oz. bottle. Lightly hazy yellow. Nose is wheat and an interesting strange spice note. Flavor is pretty much the same with the addition of some lemongrass and a toasted grain body. Really mild and a bit too safe from Boston Beer Co. it’s drinkable but your money can easily be spent better.

Keg just blew. Lol. Drinking on draught at the Keg & Cork.
Pours a hazy orange yellow with an inch of billowy foam.
Smells of some light spices that include coriander and clove. Yeasty with an earthy maltiness to it.
Earthy malt, light spicing, mild mix of lemon and orange citrus. Being actually from the bottom of the keg, as they did not have another one to put on, the malt is both earthy and sweet much resembling caramel.
On the lower side of medium bodied. .nice level of carbonation.
Not too shabby.

I’m not sure in what universe a witbier is what comes to mind as a winter seasonal, umm because its spiced? I’m not really sure a spicer beer is something that screams winter seasonal either, if it wasn’t for the history behind something like Anchor OSA, which of course is a completely different animal. In the end I’m left a bit dumbfounded - but whatever, I live in Florida and it was almost 80 deg today. I’ve rarely found a beer where the spices were so confused, nothing really stood out as identifiable except for maybe some coriander. It was fairly citrusy, cloudy, darkish, wheaty/zesty/one-dimensionally spicy. Unusual bitterness at the finish didn’t help any. Not overly phenolic so that was merciful given my turn toward hating all phenols. Fair beer, dumb seasonal idea.

12oz bottle pours with a hazy copper body that supported a brief white head. The aroma offers up sweetness sugar notes, honey nuanced malts and then an apple to pear fruitiness. The taste begins prickly with carbonation yet smoothed over by sweetness. I get sugar, a mix of sweet malts, pear to apple to faintly banana sweet fruitiness and then a light amount of spices there to try and balance things out. At times I get a bit of a grainy maltiness which I enjoy but the fruitiness and spices aren’t really doing it for me.

Pours a hazy golden blonde color and leaves the same colored body with a slim white head that dies very quickly, no lacing.
The smell has a strong orange, slight clementime, decent lemon backed up in that. I didn’t get any yeastiness of a normal witbier.
The taste has a nice citrusy sweetness with a bit of a wheatiness compounding the flavoring; citrusy/slightly apple aftertaste, slight spicy dry apple-like finish.
The palate has a light, and sessionable quality to it, and comes across kinda crisp but comes across in a watery sort of way.
Overall, not exactly sure how I feel about this one, but it doesn’t seem exactly true to the \"Belgian\" witbier style. I actually don’t mind it so much for me though I don’t get any \"yeastiness\" in the smell or taste.
