0.33 l bottle, best before December 2015, shared by markoijelena, thanks! Slightly hazy, golden amber with a tan to white head. Sweetish, fruity and slightly boozy aroma of mango, some orange marmelade, juniper, a bit of honey and hints of vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of mango, passion fruit, juniper, some honey and vanilla, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little boozy finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, flat. Very interesting, probably way past its prime.

Hazy amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is soft with modest fine carbonation. Sweet creamy malts with a light nutty sweetness as well. Ripe bananas! Hops? A little sweet pine. Smooth finish. Very odd for the style but quite entertaining.

Bottle @ home, purchased from John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Thanks Andy! Pours a hazy dull orangish brown appearance with a cream colored head. Aroma has some candy, Smartees, mango, and pineapple along with a bit of bread. Carbonation is low. Quite dusty and stale though there is a bit of tropical fruit.

Würzig hopfiger Antrunk, deutlich hefig. Süß trocken getreidig, dumpf. Kaum würziger zum Ende, etwas alkoholisch, der zu milde Hopfen wird vom Getreide überdeckt. 9/10/8/10/9/9

Bottle at the brewery. Big fruit flavors of apricot, nectarine, oranges, melon. Mango in the nose. Some of the wheatiness of the spelt comes through, and the Amarillo as well. Oily and full, with rather low carbonation like a keller beer. A fascinating lager-yeast double IPA.
