Bottle at Pigs Ear. Near opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, a modest chocolate. Mildly bretty fruity chocolate goodness. Light finish. A mild pretty linger. Nicely nuanced.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan cap. Light-medium sweet flavour with pleasant toasted malts, a bit of cocoa, toasted biscuits, mild earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, bittersweet, more cocoa, roast, burnt toast, earth, faint coffee. Really tasty gear.

33cl bottle - Pours a deep dark brown almost black colour with an average sized frothy beige head that slowly settled. The aroma is roasted dark malts, cocoa powder with some dark fruit notes. A roasted malty taste, dark malt, burnt grain and treacle flavours with a drying roasted and ashy bitterness.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 30/05/22. Light black with a decent lasting khaki head ... lacing ensues. Nose is dark malts, dried fruit rinds, cocoa sprinkle, roast malts, raisins. Taste comprises roast malts, treacle toffee, light ashen tones, charr, fruit cake. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a bitter roasted finale. Decent.
