Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. A typical latter day Kernel malt base, thinnish but reasonably sweet malts, not the luxuriousness of days of yore. The Columbus hops provide their dirty side here, some savoury skunk and a trace of garlic. Bitterish floral hop mid. The Wakatu provides a nice touch of lime. A little cooling pine throughout. Finishes light and semi dry. Well its Kernel and of course it's going to be good but it would have been even better if they had done this a couple of years ago.

From tap at the Kernel taproom in Bermondsey. Hazy pale straw colour. White head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of lemon and lime peel, bitter grapefruit, pale malt, succade, lemon and lime marmalade and a slight hint of passion fruit. Excellent citrus bitterness is lingering on. Fine carbonation. Very quaffable.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours lightly hazed gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet with notes of pine, semi-dried orange rind, a little earth, dirty hay, grass. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish, further pine and grass, sun-kissed pale malts, more citrus rind. Solid.
