Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the brewery's online shop. Pours mostly clear gold with a modest, frothy white head. Lightly sweet, lovely old pale wood character, some overripe lemon, moderate acidity, a little salty bite, grass, oak, hay. Light to medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Dry and woody in the finish, quenching, with restrained acidity, more citric tang, a little grassy bitterness. There is a whole lot to like here.

Big ole magnum shared at BD Castlegate. It pours lightly hazy bright orangey - golden with a fluffy white head. The aroma is bright, fresh, funky, zingy, gooseberry, gooseberry fool, white grape, champagne, funky, hay, barnyard and freshly baked bread. The taste is dry, crisp, puckering, zingy, apricot, peach, minerals, funky, barnyard, sherbert, granny smith apple, lemon peel, lightly lactic, brett, bright, floral and hay with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crazy balanced and delicious.

Magnum. Shared on Christmas Day with the missus and pater. Burning Sky online shop. Hazed, orange gold. Firm, lasting, bubbly white head. Nose has sweet, honeyed grain. Soft, mouldy lemon funk. Touch of oaky brett. Some peachy notes. Taste is mostly dry and tart, with a light honey sweetness. Clean and dry on the palate. Fine, brisk carbonation. Tart and dry finish. Disappeared way faster than a magnum should probably disappear.
