Part of a set of five fruited beers produced in tiny batches. Each fruit was placed into a firkin and topped up with Running Beer (Blend 7). The beer refermented on the fruit for 5 months, before maturing in bottle for a further 6 months.

For the ‘Blackcurrant’ version, organic Herefordshire grown blackcurrants have produced a concentrated jammy beer with, quite frankly, well O.T.T. acidity. One for the sour-heads. All round a very intense beer.

Bottle shared at Cloin's - cheers team! Pours opaque red with a creamy, pink head. Moderately sweet, pretty dense flavours, nice jammy blackcurrant, decent tartness. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Pretty clean, lightly acidic finish, further jammy blackcurrant. Excellent.

Mills fruited share round 4. Pours opaque dark purple with a pink head. Aroma: tangy ripe blackcurrants pulp, earthy, straw, oak, plenty of brett funk. Taste: clean, tart, dry, dark berry yoghurt/sherbet, funk, oak, more brett. Medium+ body with spritzy carbonation. The funkiest of the 4 we sampled (had no quince bottle).

Bottle shared round Dan and Megan’s gaff, provided by Kieran. Cheers boss. Deep purple with a well lasting pale pink foam. Nose has intense, ripe blackcurrant pulp and seed. Funk and oak. Clean, lemony brett. Some mineral. Mouthwatering. Taste is clean and tart, with a nice balance of fruit sweetness. Mouthfeel is stunning, feeling foamy, soft and quenching. Blackcurrant and lemony brett tartness to finish. Awesome beer that I’d love to try again one day.
