Bottle split at the second High Tickombe Tasting, picked up from HL1 I think, 04/09/20. Moderately hazed golden amber with a well presented off white covering. Nose is funk, vinous layers, wood must, tarte fruit rinds, damp alley way, dried berries. Taste comprises red wine barrel, grape must, funk blanket, barnyard, dusty red berries, vinous twang. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a rising acidic tang. Solid complex and well balanced sour.

Bottle big thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy hazy orangey - brown with a thick, fluffy beige head. The aroma is bright, zingy, tart, tangy, blood orange, campari, funk, lovely red wine character, sherbet, sour redcurrant, slightly herbal and some jam. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, zingy, light acidity, red wine, vinous, cranberry, sour candy, lactic, oak, orange wine vibes, redcurrant, must, orange sherbet, negroni and some jammy, earth and damp wood with a tangy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice depth. Drinks easier than 11 for sure.

Bottle. Beer Ritz, Leeds. Picked up by Dan. Cheers pal. Pale amber. Soft haze. Thin, dense, lasting, leggy, soapy white head. Nose has a load of sweaty brett. Red wine lees. Some sweet lemon. Touch of clove, maybe. Hint of aniseed. The barrel is dominant here. Almost port like really. Taste is sweet and sour. Hint of old oak bitterness. Medium body. Drinks well under the 11%. Fine, brisk carbonation. Touch of acidity. Tart and sour and sweet on the finish. Just give me Mills, Burning Sky, and Kernel for ever, and that’d do me fine.
