Keg at Squawk taproom, 03/10/19. Slightly unclear reddish amber with no head . Nose is big red berry and stewed fruits, oak, berry pips, cherry skins light, damp straw, light herb. Taste comprises tangy dried fruits, big red wine barrel twang, fruit slice, red grape skins. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of booze. Very decent for the style ... Good dose of red wine barrel.

On keg at Six Degrees North. Appearance - a lovely autumnal red colour. Light pink/white head. Nose - bourbon notes to the fore. Dried fruit mix. Wood, light booze and wood spice. Taste - dried orange, raisins and prunes. Booze more than on the noze. Wood again. Palate - medium bodied, rich creamy sweet texture. Sweet but tangy finish. Overall - very intense beer. Very good indeed.

Keg at IMBC. It pours hazy red brown with a sml beige head. The aroma is earthy, brown bread, fruit cake, vanilla, red wine, vinous and oak. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, musty, oak, vinous, jammy, plum, date, charred wood and vimto with some spice and drying wood in the finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Ok.

Keg at IMBC 2018, session 1. Pours clear copper-red with a small, foamy topping. Not bad overall, fairly restrained, some earth, ripe and aged berries, a little toasted caramel. Medium bodied with fine carboNtion. Minor warmth in the finish, some toasted brown bread, more dried berries. Fine stuff.
