This dark, sweet stout uses 150 lbs. of oats to add a smooth, creamy mouthfeel to a roasty base. After six months in New Riff bourbon barrels we added 2 lbs. per barrel of Carabello Coffee Tandem espresso beans. The result is a silky stout with notes of vanilla, chocolate, and oak with a bold coffee flavor and a warming bourbon finish.

50cl bottle pours a watery, cola brown with some grey head. Nose has a lot of booze, caramel, chocolate, rootbeer, nutty coffee. Flavor has all of that, chocolate, rootbeer, nutty, roasty, booze too, some whiskey. Finishes thin and oily.

Bottle split at Parch, thanks to the Andy - Nimbleprop, 14/06/19. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is big roast, charr, coffee grinds, mellow barell, black peppery spice ... great aroma. Taste comprises dried fruits, decent coffee bite but not the wow of the nose, cocoa powder, mellow bourbon rip, light spice, toffee melt. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, drying close with a light balanced boost. Solid coffee gear.
