Keg at Mikkeller Shoreditch, 08/11/18. Hazed golden yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is straw, lemon rind, funk, pissy strains, orange pith. Taste comprises lemon tinged straw, toasted grains, yeast esters, light white peppery spice, stale bread, orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent refreshing saison.

On tap at BrewDog Soho. Turbid orange gold colour lasting white head. Dank saison Odd. Woke me up. Herby saison . Almost on the point of pate herb on the saison. Yes now I recognise this. It isn't meaty it reminds me of the herbs in an Ardennes pate. Spicy bitter finish. Interesting .good character.

Mikkeller Shoreditch, Keg. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light sweetish malts. Not a huge amount of saison herb. Mild spice. Tangy citrus. Fairly dry finish finally reveals a little herb. Fine.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a totally opaque golden apricot juice colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy saison yeastiness as well as thinner layers of cantaloupe and guava. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of saison like spicy yeastiness and soft juicy cantaloupe, mango and guava. Nice. The saison notes provide a nice modestly bright counter to the soft sweet juiciness. Pretty dang solid as the saison and juicy tropical hop notes are at equal levels.

Muddy and greyish...saison huh? Has a yeasty nose w some muddled bright fruit hop notes. Soft, fairly bitter, a little more phenolic than would be normal for a hazy ipa, which it otherwise resembles. An interesting experiment but I’m not sure if it gets the job done.
