Cask at Pigs Ear 2018, day one, 04/12/18. Light black with a reddish glint topped with a biege cap. Nose is dried fruits, bretty tones, barrel, light medicinal notes. Taste comprises peated malts, fruit cake, umami, dark chocolate, bigger medicinal hit, good whisky barrel kiss, scorched brown sugar. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok bretted impy if a touch overly medicinal for my palate. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer festival 2018. A reddy nut brown coloured pour with a fading halo of tan head. Aroma is medicine, brett funk, salty, tangy apple. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, salty roast, islay, little tcp,. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, lowish carbonation. Meh.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - London. Day 1. Pours clear brown with a bubbly white head. Strong, rich flavour, some good pear, dry cocoa, scorched earth, restrained brett. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lasting peat. Sound.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear deep red beer, small pale tan head. Smooth light palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, touch of dark chocolate. Savoury brett and a touch of almost peated whiskey fruits. Whisper of spicy esters. Rich ripe fruits underneath. Tasty and rich but not sure I could manage a half.
