Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a fair light amber to copper color with just a film of a little white foamy head that slid off immediately.
The aroma had some nutty to fruity malts, somewhat pomme-like with a fresh grassy smell. Light biscuits and a soft white bread underneath.
The flavor brought the previously mentioned aromas together semi-sweetly with a crisp dry malty breadiness rolling about. Lightly touches the aftertaste and then rolled into the finish fairly nice.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Low carbonation as expected for the style. Some smoothness to this one.
Overall, as an English Bitter it works. I could have this again.

Nice crisp amber and copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of light earthy english hops, some subdued caramel malts and a very mild nutty and fruity (apples and pears) smell as well. Medium-bodied; Strong earthy flavour with a lot of nuts and earth with a good hoppiness, some bits of caramel and toffee and a solid balance in the finish. Aftertaste is relatively mild (due to the casking and temperature) with only a bit of hops and caramel in the final flavours. Overall, a very nice bitter with perhaps more flavour than most from this style in England, but a solid contender and very nice to have at a gastropub while eating some good food. I sampled this large pint (in a mug) on cask at The Spotted Pig in New York, New York on 07-November-2014 for US$10,00.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Light and semi dry malts, touch of caramel. A tired overripe orangey hop. Touch of floralness. Light dry finish. It’s a good take on a pretty average English Bitter. Question remains - why?

Sampled @ GBBF. Clear orange color, small White to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly bitter, only slightly a fruity or hoppy touch which disappoints me a bit. Average body and carbonation.

At GBBF 2014. Thinnish. Not great. Thin recreation of a slightly biscuit beer with some hedgerow hop on the finish.
