Poured into my JW Lees barley wine glass. Golden-brown colour. Just a thin head, and there's a slight chill haze. Rich aroma, has a decent bourbon character, plenty of vanillins, and rich pale malts that have been nicely concentrated. Rich barley wine...those caramelized pale malts, moderate bitterness, some toastiness, and then a bit of balancing bourbon. That's good barley wine.

Bottle at Weathered 2022, Vancouver
Dark amber colour. Nice aroma of malt, toffee, alcohol. Good body, the alcohol is a bit too strong, malt flavour, toffee, as expected not the malt depth of a true Barley Wine, mildly sweet, losing complexity sip after sip, but clean, good.

Bottle at Weathered 2022. Clear orange with small white head. Coconut, mild rum barrel, toffee, a bit cloying. Not terrible, but unbalanced and too sweet.

Bottle at Weathered 2022, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is fairly complex and well-integrated, with bourbon barrels, vanilla, and some dark dried fruits. Flavour is rich, with caramel, bourbon, and brown sugar. Well-constructed, with a caramely, bourbony finish. Very good.

A pour at I hope not a super spreader event Weathered. Appearance: a bit hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma: nice caramel, toffy, and bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, with a light savory notes on the back. Overall: pretty good one surprisingly.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with light head. Aromas of soft bourbon, coconut, and bread crust. Flavors of vegetal coconut, raisins, carramel and sweet toasted malts. The coconut seems green and doesn’t impart the expected toasted coconut flavor IMO.
