This is a New England pale ale (referring to Rhode Island, in case you’re wondering about the spelling of the name) which means it’s made with a Vermont yeast. We haven’t gone all “soft mouthfeel/zero bitterness” with this though; it’s got a bit of bite from the dry hop, but still retains the soft character that is typical of the style.

Aroma – Tropical fruit, red berries and a hint of spice
Appearance – Hazy, straw-coloured with tight, white foam
Flavour – Hoppy, resinous and fruity. Medium body with a clean, crisp finish

On tap at the Black Isle bar, Inverness, Saturday 30th March 2024 after a fantastic few days on the Isle of Harris with Nick and Anna. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. There seems to be a slight change with some hazy IPAs, they are now quite often less juicy and with a little bristle of bitterness, more spritzy carbonation and like this one, simple, very sessionable and with a pleasant citrus led fruitiness.
