Just imagine the fresh sea breeze on a warm summer’s day. This is Guldtop. Mandarin and cascade hop lends the beer a fresh fruity flavour; and the Danish barley malt, contributing to the round bitterness of the pilsner, sends your thoughts soaring. Hints of Citrus, lime and elderflower tickle your taste buds.

Trüb im Glas, wenig Schaum. Blumiges Aroma, im Trunk leicht süßlich, fruchtig, dann Heu, bitter. Schöne Komposition, wenn auch etwas wässrig.

Bottle. A lightly hazy golden-orange colored beer with a small, dense white head. The aroma is rather malty, grainy, with orange and pine cone notes. Medium body and a soft carbonation, semi sweet. Orange zest, some pine cones and a little bitterness in the flavor, and a malty back. Cellar notes in the finish. Sort of refreshing this one, but not very interesting. 160804

Smallish white head. Clear yellow body. Fruity grainy aroma with citric grassy notes. Sweetish tropical fruit taste with orangey notes. Very soft. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Sweetish orangey fruity aftertaste with mealy notes. Nice, drinkable, has a good bit of flavour, but lacking in bitterness and complexity. Not bad, though. (0.5l bottle, from some Skjold Burne wine shop in Copenhagen, Store Kongensgade.)

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The character is straightforward: crackers, cereal and hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet on the finish, with more crackers, some biscuits and lemon peel. Fine stuff.

Bottle from supermarket. Pours hazy pale yellow with a little white head that recedes into a discontinuous layer. The aroma is lemon, citrus, grassy, a bit yeasty. The taste is light sweet and medium bitter, the palate is a bit oily, medium to high carbonation.
