An innovative hybrid between a traditional Welsh Red Ale and a New World IPA; first brewed in 2012, this beer has quickly established itself as a Welsh Icon. Complex malt characteristics help balance the extensive use of American hops including the famous Mount Hood, Galena and Chinook varieties which together provide powerful, resinous yet citrusy aromas.

500ml bottle. Clear copper appearance, modest amount of off white froth atop. Gently sweet nose. Taste is noticeably sweet, a little sugary, some fruity caramel malt notes.. The lightest off flavour, not really oxidised but close to it. Not too off putting and the sweetness retains a strong appeal. Nice Welsh ale.
