Daniela and Antonio from Cantina Giardino sent us Greco grapes, a variety of white wine grapes.
These grapes underwent a 6 months pellicular maceration in an amphora.
The grapes were pressed and the marc was sent to the brewery and blended with a two year old Lambic.

Draught @ BXLBeerFest 2018. Pours light yellow with a tiny head. Aroma of grapefruit, tart vinous grapes, funky yeastiness, sourness and farmyard. Taste is smooth, sweetish and slightly funky with some tart vinous grapes, green apples, grapefruit and sourness. Finish is sweetish, vinous and funky with some sourness, farmyard, earthy notes and tart grapes. Interesting, quite untypical lambic.

Pretty cloudy pale yellowish beer, no head. Aroma: quite some banana and banana peel, bit fruity, slightly acidic impression, vinegar. MF: soft carbon ,medium to light body. Taste: lots and lots of ripe to overripe banana, acidic, yeasty, very weird. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, funky, banana, bit chemical, more overripe banana, meh. Don't like it at all...

Draft at BXL Beerfest ‘18, Brussels. Hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma of grapes, banana, green apples and funk. Weird. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at BXL festival. Hazy pale yellow straw with white head. Sweet apple, banana chips, spicy grape skins, light funk, CO2, sweet fruity pie. Medium sour, almost medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with nice sparkly carbonation. Weird.

2018/08/25 At BXL festival. Tap. Hazy pale yellow with white head. Sweet light tropical fruitiness, grapes, juniper berries, grain. Moderate sour and bitter. Soft feel. Sample from baginbox labeled “giardino lambic 01/17”, taken from the wooden barrel before bottle refermentation. Amazing clear straw beer from dark brown grapes. Magic at play! Clear straw, no head. Sour grain, grapes, soft feel, light vinegar, finishes creamy, nutty, clay, woody. Light sweet, mild sour. Very delicate. Medium body and low carbonation. 8/4/9/4/17
