Spaceman’s rebel twin sister differs from the classic one thanks to the addition of a generous amount of Pink Grapefruit peels during maturation. The citrus fruit changes and amplifies the aromatic profile, making the beer more refined and a little less bitter. This alter-ego is not afraid of any comparison.

Tap @King Arthur (Ciampino-Italy). Golden clear color, medium tall white foam. Nose is intense pink grapefruit, candy, ribes. Mouth is lovely, clean, sweet grapefruit which takes the floor. Sharp bitter tart finish.

Pours gold with a small head.Nose shows heavy grapefruit, sweet clean malt, light confectionery notes, spicy and piny hops.Flavours include more grapefruit, pine and resinous notes along with a bit of bready malt. Finishes a little astringent.

Keg at GBBF ’16, day 3, 11/08/16. Also had this in Bir & Fud Roma about 6 weeks later ... didn’t rate but thought more a 3.7/3.8. Lightly hazed golden blond with a decent off white head. Nose is juicy citric peel, light mineral waft, grapefruit zest. Taste comprises tropical fruit punch, light grapefruit note, mango, orange pith, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a jucy hop scrub down. Decent.

Tap at pudel. Pours dark golden. Aroma is fake grapefruit, citrus, fruits, metallic notes, vitamin c. Flavor is sweet, bitter, and some sourness, vitamin c, fake grapefruit. Finish is sweet and dry grapefruit bitter. Overall: drinkable, too much fake grapefruit.

Draught at Moeder Lambic, clear orange color, small creamy head, zesty citrus aroma, same zesty citrus flavor with a light bready maltiness and a soapy bitterness, medium citrus grapefruit aftertaste, Nice, just a bit one dimensional.
