330 ml bottle conditioned, L055, from Aberdeen Country Fair. ABV is 4.7%. Amber colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Woody aroma with notes of piney and earthy hops, a whiff of smoke. The flavour is fairly dry and slightly woody, moderate piney and earthy hops again. Not a beer I'd care to buy again.

Bottle picked up at Windswept many thanks my inlaws! It pours dark amber - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, malt - driven, brown bread, cereal, dried fruits and tangy cola cubes. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, rather fruity, cola, caramel, light spice, cocoa and leather with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Well rounded and pretty flavoursome. Nice old - school ale.
