Bottle from the Vale Brewery stand at the Bucks County Show for just a quid! Bit of a gusher when I opened it, but not too bad- caught most of it anyway. Hazy orange with a big craggy white head and quite a lot of fizz. Funky farmyard whiff, and some white pepper up front followed by a little sharp lemon. There’s a quick snatch of set honey at the back of the throat but it’s very muted and probably adds more to the consistency (which is reasonably full-bodied for the low abv) than it does to the flavour. There’s a brief burst of sharp and slightly bitter minerality before a dry finish. Overall a reasonable beer and quite interesting, especially considering the low price.

Gravity dispense at EBF ’18, 07/08/14. Hazed golden orange with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is earthy, straw, light funk, bitter citrics, orange pith. Taste comprises lemon rind, hay, tangy orang vibes, earthy wash, hint of bread, light yeast. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a tangy fruit finish. Simple saison but solid enough flavour profile for the ABV.

Cask - Herbal, peppery, grassy and banana. Cloudy gold with a frothy head. Grassy bitterness, fruity esters and some yeasty notes. Not sure I get the honey.

Cask gravity at Watford rugby Club beer fest. Hazed orange with no head. Decent farmhouse saison yeast aroma, dirty wheat, sourdough bread. Flavour is composed of orange blossom, hay, earthy wheat, saison yeast. Grainy wheaty palate with a nice orange citrus zing in the finish. Solid enough.

Cask in the shop at the Hope Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Thursday 3rd June 2014 I was very kindly given a sample of this by Alex in the shop. Pours hazy gold, hazy with white head. The nose is mostly given over to the yeast but I guess done sweet honey presence may possibly be there along with a little hoppiness. In the mouth there is more of the same with the yeast providing the platform but the spiciness of which is checked a little by the honey sweetness. I really liked this, a touch warm maybe but still it tastes good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
